A Healthy Dose of Self-Deprecation

I have zeal for the Lord and the truth of His word. Those who know me best understand that I passionately desire to share and help others understand Truth out of love for God and neighbor. That said, I have been told by some that my passion may not be well received by certain folks and I can see their point. I am an ambassador of the King, a diplomat, and it is my responsibility to faithfully speak forth His words. That said, the presentation does matter. An effective diplomat must understand and faithfully present the position of the one/ones that they represent while simultaneously understanding those to whom they are conveying the message to and considering how to best communicate with them. That said, I apologize to anyone reading this who has been offended or hurt by the WAY that I have communicated; I will try to do better. Will you please forgive me? The Apostle Paul sets an example of being “all things to all men, that [he] might by all means save some” and elsewhere he encourages believers to “imitate [him], just as [he] also imitate[s] Christ”. This is my desire. For that reason, it is also true that so long as I am speaking Truth as revealed in God’s word, I will never apologize for or recant of WHAT I say. If one is offended by God’s word then the problem is with that person and not with the word of God or the person communicating it. The remedy? Repent and believe.

May we all say with John the Baptist, “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
